Lasse Kroll | Co-Founder & Executive Director
Felix and Lasse have known each other since their university days. Whenever they weren’t busy studying, they were traveling. Lasse has a passion for destinations some would consider unusual, including Iran, North Korea, Myanmar or Bolivia. Most of his work was done while travelling, which is how this business idea was born.
In Germany he has already gained a lot of experience with social entrepreneurship. Besides his work on the board of lunatic e.V. and in marketing for Lemonaid & ChariTea, Lasse also founded the MUDDI Markt e.V. in his hometown Kiel to develop sustainable and participative event concepts for large public festivals.
At Cuckoo, Lasse is responsible for marketing, public relations and finance.
Felix Gessert | Co-Founder & Executive Director
For Felix, combining life, work and travel has become a mission. For the better part of the past decade, Felix has lived and worked outside Europe and now feels at home on several continents. He first discovered his passion for global engagement and intercultural work in Australia and New Zealand in 2007. Since that time, Felix has worked and lived in various parts of Latin America and sub-Saharan Africa.
He worked for the German Society for International Cooperation and for Lemonaid & ChariTea. He also gained experience as a seminar leader for sustainable management and in the field of renewable energies.
At Cuckoo, Felix is responsible for the coordination of remote programs, sales and the development and organization of project funding.
Aileen Scharrenberg | Marketing & Social Media
Aileen was deeply involved in the creative scene when she studied at the University of Bayreuth. She worked as a stage assistant, in event management and performed as a singer in various musical groups. Her projects have taken her to Nigeria, Kenya and Mozambique.
At Cuckoo, she works on marketing in the fields of social, online and content. When she's not riding the waves on the Internet, you can find her at museums, concerts or eating chocolate ice cream.
Nadja Eckert | Chairwoman of Supervisory Board
Nadja already has a lot of experience with cooperative entrepreneurship and is therefore ideally suited as chairwoman of the supervisory board. As legal counsel and honorary representative in a housing cooperative, she also brings the necessary legal expertise to help Lasse and Felix with the risk analysis from time to time.
Paul Gellner | Supervisory Board
Paul is a lawyer in a commercial law firm operating nationwide. As a specialist in employment and contract law, Paul is therefore available to the Supervisory Board primarily with his legal expertise. Paul also has many years of committee experience in various areas of society.
Hanna Etzel | Supervisory Board
Hanna has a passion for accounting, which is certainly a rare talent. With a firm grasp on numbers, invoices and fiscal coordination, she plays an important role on the Supervisory Board.
